Eminently Murakami.

It's crazy to me how fleshed out his writing style was even in his third novel. In spite of my disdain for recurring characters, Murakami once again weaves the shadow of "the Rat" throughout A Wild Sheep Chase to great effect, particularly how he means so many things to so many people. Definitely worth a read, and I'm surprised myself how fond I've grown of Murakami's tendencies to spiral into the magic realist and the tangential.
