Awesome feeling to be back reading some more Higashino. Kaga as the protagonist is always entertaining, but Newcomer knocks it out of the park by focalising its core conceit from multiple perspectives. If anything, this book has convinced me that as good as Higashino is at constructing a thrilling narrative, he excels even more at character writing.
